Unfortunately, working with victims of motor vehicle accidents for close to 45 years, we have pretty much seen it all. But every now and then, a car accident is so bizarre that it even causes our collective eyebrows to raise a little. Such was the case last week in Los Angeles, California when a Lexus ended up on a roof. Luckily, neither the homeowner nor the driver was injured too badly. If bizarre accidents are your thing, you can read more about it here:https://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/lexus-ends-roof-los-angeles-home-crash-article-1.2519835?barcprox=true

If there is anything we can learn from this incident is that you can never know what is going to happen on any given day; maybe you will get a free coffee (“Roll Up The Rim” has just started…) or maybe a car will end up on your roof. Many parents tell their kids when they start driving that they trust their driving, it’s just the thousands of other drivers on the roads they don’t trust. There is some truth to that. Although we believe that we drive cautiously, turn on our signals, and respect the law, there are others who do not (and even that may not be the case; in the case above, the driver was undergoing a medical emergency). For that reason, being involved in an accident that is not your fault is sometimes very frustrating. Suddenly, you have to deal with much paperwork, medical appointments, possible missed work, and of course pain.

Many people will call us because they just do not have the wherewithal to deal with everything—and we completely understand that. So while a lawyer cannot guarantee that you won’t have a car land on your roof on any given day, having a lawyer help you through the claims process may be the quickest way to get back on your feet.
