Lorne attended York University where he won the Book Prize Award for highest undergraduate marks. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1982 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1984.

Lorne has been practicing law with Bergel’s firm since 1985. He practices primarily in the area of personal injury and insurance law litigation.

Lorne is an exeperienced litigator in the industry and his adversaries have learned to respect his skills and opinions.

Jeremy is the managing partner of Bergel, Magence LLP.  He was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1998, after graduating with a BA in 1992 from Yeshiva University and Osgoode Hall Law School (LLB.) in 1996.

Jeremy is currently a member of The Law Society,  The Canadian Bar Association, The Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association and the American Association for Justice.

Jeremy is well known in insurance circles especially when it comes to major injuries such as paraplegics and catastrophic cases.

Hy Bergel, B.A. LLB., graduated from University of Toronto in 1966 and Osgoode Hall Law School in 1970.  He was called to the bar in 1972.

A former Provincial Court Deputy Judge, he has been practicing in the area of personal injury law for almost 40 years.

As senior partner in the firm, Hy has been involved in precedent setting cases and has been instrumental in changing Ontario law as it relates to contingency fees.
